    my story        so far

Melbourne based Singer/Songwriter Sarah Grimstone who has been performing under the artist title Sarah Stone Music is quickly crafting her way into the Australian music scene as a sure fire up and comer.

After recently taking out a spot in the top 6 on The Voice Australia for 2017, Sarah is proving this is just the beginning for the Western Australian born talent. As a young music lover, Sarah began her roots in Musical Theatre with over 11 years of classical training through the Young Australian Broadway Chorus. Shortly after high school, Sarah found her true passion in songwriting drawing from musical inspirations to the likes of Ed Sheehan, Adele and Amy Winehouse.

Self taught in piano and guitar, Sarah began working on her own craft and released her first demo of songs on an EP titled "Lumière Noir" which was soon followed by her debut single "Lungs" recorded and produced by Joel Quartermain. Shortly after forming a band, she took to the stage to start performing but found her true calling making videos on YouTube as a way to reach a larger international audience. Sarah has now amassed a following of over 300,000 subscribers and has used the platform to grow her network partnering with Optus for the 2015 Nova Red Room Global Tour as a featured performer alongside Rudimental, Craig David, Adam Lambert and one of her biggest influences, Ed Sheeran.

She has also worked on content with Oreo for their Wonderfilled campaign and recently completed a project with Disney. Sarah’s love of content creation has landed her interstate roles with Screen Hunter Festival as a performer and head speaker taking place in late October. She has also been nominated for Best Musician at the AWA's (Australian Webstream Awards) and has had the privilege of being selected by YouTube as one of only a handful of influencers to create music content at the YouTube Pop-Up Space in Sydney. Sarah was also chosen by YouTube to solo represent Australian creators in Los Angeles at the public policy summit earlier this year and in Jakarta in September speaking up on issues of copyright in the music industry and other social affairs.

Sarah has also recently been selected as a YouTube Creators For Change participant and will be attending the London conference early 2018. She will also be attending this years fist ever VIDCON in Australia as a featured creator taking part in numerous panels, workshops and featured appearances during the conference.

Her future aspirations are to start working on her album and hopes to continue to grow as a songwriter working with producers to bring her vision to life for this next exciting chapter in her career.
